Meet The Band

Chick Hawksley (Roger Daltry)

While Chick was playing bass for a NYC band "Lick" , he had the honor of opening for (Sir)John Entwistle shortly before his passing. Upon introduction Sir John remarked "Chick, eh? Bassist eh, Poor Bastard! Says Chick “Mr. Simmons may call himself the God of Thunder... ..but I have seen the light , and it is Sir John. Long Live Rock!”

Chick is short for Chichankwok,
meaning, 'Killer of enemies/ Child of the Moon'. Don't ask.

John Nunes (Pete Townshend)

John idolized Pete Townshend as a teenager and well into his 20's. John practiced windmills and playing loud back then!. In addition to playing with Who Too, John has his own jam/funk band called Mojo Stew which plays his original music and jazz/funk covers. He lives in Oakland and is superbad.

Tim Boomer (John Entwistle)

Tim Boomer (John Entwistle) - Bass/Vocals - Currently in many bay area bands ranging from original
music (Offbeats), to jazz (JazzTrek) has been performing locally since 1975. He is also finished a book of Bass Syles "The Bassist’s Bible". The first bass line Tim learned to play in 1969 was Entwhisle’s “Boris the Spider” on the lower four strings of his best friend's, Stella guitar.

He has had a persistant ringing sound in his ears since seeing the Who live later in '69 at the Fillmore West and the following year in Berkeley; a sound that only seems to go away when playing with Who Too on Stage. . .

Mick Berry (Keith Moon)

Author of “The Drummer Bible” plays in many local bands including Offbeats(originals),
and JazzTrek(jazz).

Mick, definitely a longtime Who fanatic, recently made a trip to London to take a drum lesson with Keith Moon's old
teacher Carlo Little. Discovering Carlo resides in Northease England, MIck booked a flight back to
San Francisco to catch the next plane there. Carlo exclaimed “Just take the three hour train ride to Newcastle!" "You’re crazier than Keith Moon".
